[Killietalk] Austrolebias pools-Dry or wet?

Not disputing, of course.
We only want to know all about killis:-)
Yes, you are rigth about rainfall data:
Jan 93.0 mm

I guess Mar is the month, in March the pools have the
sustrate with high humidity for the Jan and Feb rains,
and in this month, the rains start to cover the pool
with water.
Acuatics plants begin to see on April, and the killis
usually have a month or less.
For this place, the fishes start to "see" on July,
sexed ones and no more than 3 cm in bellottii and some
less in nigripinnis.
But not all Argentina have the same rainfall!
We are talking about Rio de la Plata sistem-Buenos
Aires(from Punta Lara-south- to Maschwitz,
Campana)Entre Rios(Ceibas and others places).
We can found in all these pools:Austrolebias
nigripinnis, bellottii, alexandri and Megalebias
elongatus.
The rain season on the south(Buenos Aires)Cuenca del
Salado and Pendiente atlantica(500 km to the south
from Buenos Aires) the pools start to fill in August,
September.
Last year(2004) we did a nice trip to that place,the
date was September and we only can find smalls frys,
maybe 2 weeks old(Austrolebias bellottii,
Austrolebias robustus and Austrolebias Sp(maybe
robustus group).
I am observing now, that the fish of this zone, can
support very well the heat than those the north
fishes(Maschwitz, Ceibas and others).
This is my small contribution for you:-)
Here we have today, 37ºC , is like the Hell!
