The name plagitaeniatum was attached to an ogoense form in error many years
ago. This was a real error for me as I associate the name with the photo &
have real problems in associating the name with the Epoma collection.
The feeling of it being lost in Europe may be misplaced. The DKG elegans
group is about the best point of reference. It may well be lost in the UK.
This is not suprising as the elegans group seem hard to keep going in our
country.
What a simple fish to breed. I had 70 fish up to adult size in a 4 foot
tank.
I have wild cognatum in my tanks with young but if I realease them to the
BKA they will be lost.
Only the '91 collection of this sp. lasted. I think these may now be lost.
Not very good really considering we have had some really nice forms over the
years.
Is cognatum or christyi being maintaind in the US?
