I bought mine through a local fish store (now out of business) for $150 for a 
12.5 kilogram bag. That figures out to about $5.75/lb. I had bought out his 
supply at $7.00/lb.  The Black Magic can be purchased in 1 Kg jars for about 
$12.00  at petguys.com - about the same as what I paid. It works well and lasts 
me about 4-5 months with my automatic water changing system. I have no idea 
how many gallons, but maybe I can make some measurements.
