RE: [Killietalk] Water
As I understand it you breed some of the most challenging fish with the
water conditions they need.

Subject: [Killietalk] Water
Hi all,
I`m still working on my water problems and I was amazed after talking to a
large number of experienced Killie breeders to find that they use aged tap
water in their tanks. This water comes from municipal filtration systems
that add chlorine and chloramines. As I understand they bring it into a
storeage tank, aerate it a day or so and after warming it up they do the
water changes. Now these people are some of the best breeders in the AKA so
I am wandering why I`m knocking myself out trying to remove this stuff thru
a tube carbon filter or with a water conditioner, I must be missing
something somewhere. What is the good word on this? Thanks in advance,
Duane in not too cold IN.
