[Killietalk] Cross simpatric species. Is posible?
Hello, somebody knows if is possible reproduction among species
simpatrics, I ask this because for example in Argentina/Entre
Rios/Ceibas there are some pools where A. nigripinnis cohabits with A.
bellottii and A. alexandri, and I calculate that with the vivacity of
the males, they should take all female they see... I estimate that the
males of a species non fecundate the eggs of females of another. In
other wise we would have a 4ta species or a 5ta, etc in this pool.
Then if we put A. alexandri with A. nigripinnis in aquarium together
they should not cross certain?.
What happens with simpatrics species of Nothobranchius?
I suppose that N. jampapi doesn't cross with N. fuscotaeniatus,
neither with N. lourensi.
Thanks
