If a bag hasn't been properly sealed, Joseph, and the peat gets too dry,
I have found that a small pad of moistened paper towel can be added and
the dampness will slowly spread over a day or two's time. A bit of
sponge should work the same. Better to have to repeat than to overdo it
and mess up the gestation, IMHO. That is, don't get it *too* wet.
Properly taped bags never seem get dry in my fishroom. I don't use any
zipper bags. Others do, so I've had to learn to deal with those problems.
