The baby shrimps are ready to eat 18 hrs after hatching. See

It is interesting to note that by hydrating the bse with RO water they
cysts do seem to hatch faster and give a better separation than when
not prewet... 48 hrs after wetting the cysts we have nauplli at Instar
1 with guts full of protein-HUFA.
