[Killietalk] Hybrids
Hi All,
With reference to Tyrone's comments about hybrids and Scheel's work on this
topic, Thomas Cahalan wrote an article which appeared in TFH in August 1969
detailing hybrids of "Aphyosemion" gardneri with 11 other species.In this
article he indicated that female hybrids seemed more fertile than male
hybrids.He also experimented with back-crosses. This was basically a
continuation of Scheel's work (referred to by Tyrone.)
As a BTW he also commented that he regarded gardneri and nigerianum as being
the same species.
Just thought I'd comment...history repeating itself again.
