The voting has never been secret. The votes were tabulated in the first week
of October (Sept. 30 was the deadline for voting) and the results will
appear in the very next BNL after that, which will be the November BNL. This
has always been the procedure. Joe Scanlan is correct in stating that it has
always been a small percentage of the membership that participates in the
election, however it is a larger number this year, as compared to last year.
As a courtesy, the three individuals with the most votes were notified, as
we do send them the November and December BOT letters to get them informed
as to the discussions and workings of the BOT.
