To answer your question to the best of my ability, Karl.

Dick Martino made it clear to me when we first considered doing NEW that the 
NFKA show was tentatively scheduled for the weekend of Oct 23-24 - one 
weekend later than NEW.  There was no conflict.  In fact as I understand 
it - NFKA actually planned their show for Oct. 30th this year.  I do not 
know the reason they cancelled their show.
