[Killietalk] NorthEast Weekend

Hi - I have just gotten back from the NorthEast Weekend and I think that I
can say a good time was had by all. I don't have many of the figures Tom has
them, but he is still at the hotel finishing things up. The numbers for the
show was a little disappointing, but the auction was fantastic. The box of
fish from the New and Rare committee arrived Sunday shortly before the
auction (which was cutting it a little close) and I think that as many of
the fish went to "new" members as to the older ones, so there shouldn't be
any complaints. Everyone, or almost everyone, stayed for the whole auction,
there really wasn't any drop-off after a couple of hours that we frequently
get. I got some very nice fish and I also came home with two bags of air
that cost me about $40, I haven't explained this yet to my wife. That should
be interesting.
  In spite of the various assorted problems, none of which were really very
serious, we are already planning for next year. This is the absolutely best
time of year to visit New York, the fall coloring is a delight to see. I
hope that more of you will plan on joining us next year. Regards, Dan
