Thanks tremendously for the writeup Jeff, this is my first email to the killitalk list but I've been receiving it for a few weeks now. I'm new to killies but have a couple local clubmembers pushing me to breed. I currently have a tank of notho-kourthause mafia island that are growing out and a couple breeding tanks of "mystery gardneri" just for experience. I found some procatopus similis at an LFS but lost them to contamination in the water. I'm picking up some more this weekend and it sounds like I have my tank setup almost exactly as yours except for the current. I'm wondering how necessary you think the current might be? I was planning on a small powerhead to create current but wasn't sure how much current they could tolerate so I just opted for a sponge filter instead. I can always add more if need be so I wanted to know your thoughts. I've already printed out your email for future reference as I would love to breed these fish. thanks, KYle
