[Killietalk] Re: Lampeye Eggs

I now carefully move the mop from the adults’ tank and put it around an airlift in a 2.5 gal.
fry tank. This keeps me from losing missed eggs and puts the collected eggs in an oxygenated stream of water while they hatch. I leave the mop in the fry tank for 2 weeks. Most of the fry seem to hatch in about ten

Thanks for the writeup... We have had problems with *Aplocheilichthys normani* eating eggs (we think so at least), so we actually remove the our eggs. As you note we have also found the level of oxygen to be of extreme importance in reducing the number of eggs that fungus. We have had success moving the eggs to small, open tupperware containiers with a _little_ water (1/4" or less) to increase oxygen levels - deeper water levels result in fungus problems for us at least.
