I now carefully move the mop from the adults’ tank and put it around an
airlift in a 2.5 gal.
fry tank. This keeps me from losing missed eggs and puts the collected
eggs in an oxygenated stream of water while they hatch. I leave the mop in

Thanks for the writeup... We have had problems with *Aplocheilichthys
normani* eating eggs (we think so at least), so we actually remove the
our eggs. As you note we have also found the level of oxygen to be of
extreme importance in reducing the number of eggs that fungus. We have
had success moving the eggs to small, open tupperware containiers with a
_little_ water (1/4" or less) to increase oxygen levels - deeper water
levels result in fungus problems for us at least.
