Re: [Killietalk] N. rachovii

When you say optimum conditions, what do you mean? My rachovii only seems
to live for about 6 months. What am I doing wrong? My temperature is
about 78 degrees. I change 1/3 of their water each week. I feed them good
food. What else must I do to get them to live longer?

IMHO, the Beira fish are more robust and forgiving than the black
strains. The fry also seem more capable of taking the normal Utah bbs.
Growth is rapid the fish can make 12 to 18 months under optimum
conditions (24°C, clean water, good feeding with a two days fasting
per week).

hope that helps...
