Re: [Killietalk] watts per gallon
I have florescent lights of 15 watts over all my 3 gallon tanks. I put
them on when I get up at 5:30 and turn them off at about 10:30pm. I have
lots of Java fern in each tank and often times I do not see the fish
because of so many ferns. I keep one large tank of 29 gallons to display
my killies. In that one I also have lots of plants like sword plants and
Java fern, but I am able to see the fish quite easily, especially when I
feed them. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Subject: [Killietalk] watts per gallon
Dear Killi-list,
I've read that most Killifish prefer dim light. What would be a good
fluorescent watts/gallon ration for Aphyosemions? I'm a little worried
that I'm over illuminating my tanks. Even with floating vegetation.
Thanks,
