Re: [Killietalk] Grindal worms
Actually, I lost my culture a couple of weeks ago. But, before that, I got
a pure grindal culture from Bill Adams and put it in a shoebox with "worm
bedding" or peat plus soil. I put catfood pellets on top of the mix and
cover that with a piece of glass. Once the worms are very thick and eat
several pellets each day, then I use a small paintbrush to wipe the grindals
off the bottom of the glass each day and then feed the worms more catfood.
I thriving grindal culture produces a lot of food each day. You just have
to start new cultures every few weeks because the old ones go bad.
Joe Castillo ordered a few new grindal cultures and he hopes to have them
for the meeting for us.
