Re: [Killietalk] Recommendation of TDS and pH meters?
Hi Jason Check out this meter ($60) available from this site.__Cole Palmer
http://www.coleparmer.com/catalog/product_compare.asp?sku=3566111,3566112&cls=&par=&cat=1&sch=745&sel=745&trs=undefined
It goes to 1999 ppm, good enough to cover salt in Notho tanks, is waterproof
and reads to the nearest 10 ppm which is more than adequate for
fishkeeping..
Waterproof but not necessarily destruction proof as I have gone thru a
couple. Batteries are the same as for the Hanna(also a nice meter but only
good to 999 ppm TDS) and if you forget to turn either one off it will run
you $10 for a new set of batteries from Radio Shack.
Cole Palmer also has a pH meter ($160) here that I like. No dry out
problems but not cheap. Also the tip has the test fluid that will
eventually get used up and a new tip is about $50. Good range though if you
get like me and have pH crashes that require low pH value measurement.

You may have to cut and paste the links to get them to work.
