Along with the other veggie items Wright mentioned, would cooked peas be
useful? From time to time I have split open cooked peas and feed the insides
to North American killies such as Fund. notatus and Africans such as
lampeyes and Fundulopanchax.

Peas are reputed to be fairly rich in vegetable protein. Would they be
useful in bring emaciated American flag fish back to robust health? I'm
assuming they could also eat the shells of those peas.

Would raw, fresh peas be more useful? Has anybody fed them to American
flags?
