[Killietalk] how much water for a breatheable bag
The times I've used these bags, I've made 'tight golf balls' of water,
rationalizing that the more water, the less concentration of ammonia. If'
I'm going with breathable bags and packing them like regular bags (some
water, fish and a lot of air), why bother with the breathable bags at all?
I've received fish once in Breathable bags that were packed with lots of air
and not much water, and most of the fish were DOA. I shipped my fish with
about a tablespoon of water in those 'sausage' killi bags and didn't have a
loss in exchange.
One of the other reasons I've been slow to adopt breathable bags for
shipping is, in the 'tight golf ball' scenario, the weight can start adding
up.
So, how much water in a breathable bag for shipping?
Matt
