Hi Tony,
I'm very encouraged by a shipping trial, killies in breathers, from SG
to the UK and would like to know if you use Amquel, 'bag buddies' or
other additives (sedative?) with the fishes you ship.

For killies, how would you pack, individual fish or in pairs? Thanks.
Great, I once made 17 days in breathable bags and the fish arrived fine. for the average killie, I pack one in a bag, 70ml of water and a drop of Amquel two small bags double bagged in a breathable and they are off............ The Amquel is not for shipping, it is for the ammonia spike when the bag is opened. Never know what the person who receives the fish is likely to do, just a precaution.. it does nothing during transport.....

No sedatives, the darkness and being completely enclosed in water reduces stress significantly. Remember do not tie the bags, tight light a gold ball !!! The closer to the bag the gills of the fish the better. Pack them very loose and sloppy . the bags will not be exposed to stress, seldom will they leak and the fish will be fine. It looks weird, but according to the research Kordon did. this is the best way ....... I see a great many people tying the bags in tight round balls of water........... it works, but almost flat and very loose is preferred................
