Lorraine,   sorry for not replying ,as I am working out of town and just got home today.(saturday).I used 1/2 " pvc fittings.1- 90* elbow,one end is a slip or glue female,and the other is a male threaded end.the other fitting is 1-90*elbow,one end is a threaded female end and the other end is a slip or glue female end.I used a rubber O-ring,that will fit around the threaded ends.I hope this helps.mike cooper
