RE: [Killietalk] Convention Fish

Greetings from Colorado.

Registration for the convention is now officially closed and it looks
like we'll have a nice contingent of about 100 from all over the world
to celebrate the killifish hobby over Memorial Day weekend.

The request I'd like to make this morning is for your mail-in entries.
This IS the national championship here, the Super-Bowl of killiefish,
the Stanley Cup for Killies, double-points for Killie Exhibitor of the
year, the show-of-shows.

Information for mail-ins is in the BNL and on the website. Mail-ins
should be sent to:

Show fish should arrive next week, sometime between Tuesday and
Thursday, so it's time to look over the fish-room and decide who is good
enough to vie for the best fish in the AKA.

By the way, the trophies are now assembled. Each features an original
acrylic painting by Kenny McKeighan, our AKA artist-in-residence. We in
the AKA are so lucky to have Kenny's talents contributing to the show.
As I assembled the trophies, I was in awe of the work Kenny had put into
this project. Each painting is an original and truly a work of art. I
have suggested to Kenny that he assemble a book of his paintings for
sale and distribution to the members. No other branch of the hobby has
an artist like Kenny who has devoted so much time and talent.

I'm looking forward to seeing many of you next week here in our
beautiful Rocky Mountain setting. If you can't make it, at least help us
make this a show of the BEST killiefish in the USA by contributing your
mail-in entries.
