Tony, I hear you about "Built in dirt", when I bought my OM-1 a few decades
back a found a sigma macro lens that was a good deal and in great condition.
It had the same bayonet mount that was very tight and a good fit. I wondered
the same thing as you , images were coming out with some dark blurs. I
thought it was something on the mirror, took it for cleaning and the
servicemen said everything was fine, he said to check the lens I use, sure
enough, the sigma had fungus growing inside if, some strange dark root
looking stuff on a inner lens. Took some doing for the camera guy to take
the lens apart and clean it out, seems someone had dropped the lens in some
sort of moisture ...Anyways, glad you ae happy with your camera, that's the
most important point...mark
