A good food is cooked sweet potatoes and when put with water for any length
of time, it doesn't have any odor whatsoever.  And the daphnia love it.

Doug:

Keep at it and the little beggars will decide that you are serous and stay
alive.  I like green water because it seems less critical in its
application.  I also use a two stage approach.  Grow the green water in one
tank and the daphnia in another.  I managed to kill off two or three
cultures using active yeast.  Algae paste and green water have worked so
far.

If Yankeetown is just north of Crystal River, I used to live across from
the Library and post office.
