RO is the way to go if you want to raise the rare stuff.
I have a 35 gallon a day unit that works fine with the carbon and micron pre
filters. It cost me $70.00, and works fine. It drips into a 55 gallon
plastic drum that over flows into a 600 gallon system. the system has a tank
with crushed coral in it that is turned on when the ph starts to go below 6.
I also use Keta Peat by Marc Weiss in a bag in the reservoir to add other
minerals and helpful bacteria. The fish do great in it and have great color.
