Mine are laying literally hundreds of eggs daily in a 6 gallon Eclipse tank 
with two mops and a small amount of Java moss and Java fern. I think the key is 
the temperature is about 80 degrees. Before the temperature was that high 
they showed little interest. These are some that I rescued as fry from a pond
