[Killietalk] (no subject)
I initially sent this to NWK. I may have had the wrong Chris and
List. Anyway this may make it easier to a a salt dose to the water. These
levels of salt may be to low for normal conductivity meters and this method
should be much more accurate then using a meter.
Kris/Chris:
You can also do it by volume. A standard tablespoon is 14.79 ml (that is
what is marked on my measuring set spoon). I use 1/2 teaspoon (2.49 ml)
per gallon. That expands to 25 ml/10 gal. My measuring cups indicate that
1/2 cup is 125 ml; that would be 50 gallons worth. A standard tablespoon
(15 ml) is three teaspoons (5) by volume. I got this one from my Betty
Crocker cook book. The normal fish tank salting level is between 1/2 and 1
teaspoon. Your dose of 1 tablespoon per five gallons in the middle.
But, please check my math.
