Just relaying my experience Mark.  Like I said I'm sure I was using 91%
Isopropyl alcohol.  If I understand Lee's curve that would have solved
the acrylic.  I'm not sure why that would have produced cracks but it
definitely did. 

I also began rewashing anything that I sterilized with CVS brand 91%
Isopropyl.  I never thought much of the iridescent film that it left
behind until I raised up a bunch of deformed A. elberti fry.  Those fry
came from eggs hatched in a container that had been sterilized using the
afore mentioned alcohol.  I started rewashing sterilized containers in
hot water and haven't experienced the problem since.
