This morning I had to work with Frontier airlines on a reservation for
one of our speakers for the convention. After doing that I went to check
some of their other fares (with and without the AKA discount). Many of
them were pretty reasonable. For example Milwaukee came in at $184 ($216
with ALL the taxes and fees (round trip).  From LA it was $206 and $242
with taxes. Tampa was $240 ($287 with taxes) and that was the
undiscounted rate (for some odd reason the computer wouldn't come up
with a discounted rate).New York was quoted at a discounted $271 (310
with tax). DC was the highest I saw at $331 and they just load you down
with tax there unfortunately.  We all know that getting the best fare is
akin to playing the roulette wheel in Vegas, but still I really
recommend checking the AKA discount from Frontier and make sure your
flight arrives early in the day to allow you a few hours to get up to
the mountains.
