Re: [Killietalk] RE: Notho. Holland, ramblings
Does it look like the guentheri "blushing" which was floating around in the
80s? If I were a guentheri and looked like that, I'd blush too. ;)
The one in the 80s I think was a sport Ed Warner found among the hatches in
his killie factory. He also encountered and fixed the gold sport, a very
attractive fish for people new to annuals to work with.
Swung by a general club auction yesterday in Peoria. Larry Jones had brought
a bunch of gorgeous killies His Fundulus cingulatus were as colorful as any
I've seen.
And while the killies were well received, I took issue with a couple of the
prices. In the course of "encouraging the bidding," seem to have become the
proud owner of a beautiful little pair of the "regular" guentheri. Had
forgotten how neat they were, even making whoppee in the bag. No regrets.
They'll be in a position of honor in the fishroom
In answer to the old question, "But will it play in Peoria?" Larry's killies
certainly will!
All the best!
Scott
Please remember the Chicago killie show this March 20-21. Rosario LaCorte,
lots of killies, multitudes of neat killie people. http://chika.aka.org/
