If you have the half inch acrylic you can use a dado head on your table saw
to make the channels.
If you do not have the thick acrylic and you have 1/4 inch or 1/8th inch
acrylic you can make the channels out of three pieces. take a piece of wax
paper and fold it so it is double and use one of your dividers as a guide
and weld the channel together. With a little practice you will get it right
the solvent will not stick to the wax paper.
I prefer to use the thick stuff with the dado blade. I theory you can also
us a router to make the channel in the thick acrylic.
