My primary experience with this subject came when I was having trouble 
getting red gularis eggs to hatch.  I would find egg after egg with the fry 
partially hatched but still stuck in the egg membrane.  I satrted cutting my tap water 
(TDS 160+) with DI water to get the TDS undeer 100.  It seemed to work.
