I would think that having more then one male to work with would help.
That way if you have an infertile male, you an extra one. I also thought that
some Fundulopanchax species require at least a year to mature and sometimes
longer. Maybe your male isn't old enough yet. I always found my garderni more
productive at closer to 2 yrs. and the most productive until about 3 yrs of age.
Could this species be similar? Maybe. Below is a link to a site with info. on

though it says maturity is reached at 2-3 months!!!
