Right now, I have
only a general idea of what might be found there, and do not know if I will
be in the vicinity of any interesting fish - marine, brackish, or
freshwater.
Allan, the most striking pupfish I've ever seen, in my opinon, is in Lake
Chichancanab (sp?). Cyp. beltrani occurs there with 4 other pupfish species.
When the males are mature and happy they are jet black with a yellow caudal and
electric blue markings on the sides. I had them briefly but lost them when I
moved away from So. Cal. If I ever manage to get there again, I will
definetly make an effort to try an get them back. Russ Feilzer
