Many of the *Fp* are also savannah fish that are not in the dead-soft
water of the rain forest. Lots of others *are* in the deltas of rivers
like the Niger that have picked up some hardness along the way.
They are often called "semi-annuals" and I treat most almost as if they
were Nothos, with a significant amount of hardness and/or salt in their
water.
