I live very close to a brackish lake (Lake Pontchartrain) as well as 
freshwater lakes.  I was thinking about collecting plankton and nekton from 
them to use as food for both adults and fry.  Has anyone else done this?  If 
so, what equipment did you use?  I am a bit concerned over introducing 
disease organisms and possibly predators like hydra into the tanks.  Any 
comments?
