I was Chairman when the current membership rates were established. I can 
state unequivocally there is currently no profit involved in overseas mailing. 
There might be a possibility of an electronic version to reduce costs, but that 
would have to be studied and voted on by the BOT. Nothing is free, not even 
email or the Internet. Someone would need to spend appreciable time each month to 
convert the BNL and also every other month the JAKA to electronic form that 
could be available via email or web pages. I am in favor of it, if it is deemed 
feasible and reasonable by the BOT and if the more complex membership 
structure can be handled by the membership and publications committees.
