That's, maybe, a little heavy handed Wright. My bottle of Aqua plus
states that it removes chlorine and chloramine and that it neutralizes
heavy metals. I have used this product for years and frequently do 100%
water changes on quarantined fish. I can't remember the last time I
lost a quarantined fish so this product can't be that bad.
I do not use it in my Daphnia cultures as they seem to come on line
more quickly with plain old tap water. On the other hand, I have a
beautiful Reef Tank that evaporates about a half gallon of water a day.
All of the makeup water that goes into that tank is treated with Aqua
plus. I have many thriving corals in this tank as well a bustling *pod
community.
*Pod = Reef talk for Isopod, Amphipod, Copepods, Decapods.....
