[Killietalk] ARK Cactus Killie Cook-Out Speaker and Program

The Arizona Rivulin Keepers (ARK) are delighted to announce the speaker and
program for our sixth annual Cactus Killie Cook-Out. Our speaker is none
other than this year's AKA Chairman Peter Tirbak and his topic will be
"Killifish of central Africa".

We know Peter to be the consummate killifish breeder and photographer. For
almost 50 years, Peter has been actively spawning and distributing these
gorgeous fishes. Peter has shared his knowledge and experience by writing
innumerable articles, producing slide-tape and video programs, and speaking
at national and regional conventions He is recognized as one of the leading
experts on the killifish species of the Congo basin and Gabon and has
collected new and rare species in Gabon on 3 different occasions.

Peter Tirbak has donated his time and talents to the American Killifish
Association, and has been active since it's early years. Peter has been
elected to the American Killifish Association (AKA) Board of Trustees three
different times, served as Secretary several times and was the Chairman in
1969. Because of these years of active participation, Peter was recognized
as a Fellow of the AKA. Now, 35 years after his first term as Chairman, the
AKA Board of Trustees has selected him again to be the Chairman of the
American Killifish Association for 2004.
