[Killietalk] Drip emiters vs. valves

I am trying to design a water system for my tank rack which happens to be 6
ft. high. Since I want to get water to some fry boxes on the top shelf, I will
have to pump it at least 7 ft. high. Can I use plastic tubing and drip
emiters, or will there be too much pressure from the water pump? If so, I will have
go to pvc pipe and valves. If I need pvc, can I use 1/2 in pipe or should I
go larger to accomodate the valves? The shelf is only 4 ft long, so once I
get the water to the top, gravity should do the rest.
