From: "Kenneth Combs" <KCombs at mergerx_net>

I just did my 1st post here inquiring about Aplocheilichthys Spilauchen, I bought these fish before positively ID'ing them, so they may be unsuitable for my 55gal community tank. I would like to know which killies if any would "fit" this tank: Alestes.sp, Yellow Congos, 2 Syndontis.sp, Kribs. The tank is heavily planted (Java Fern, Java moss, Anubias) and bacterially mature (2X penguin 330's plus a Duetto 50 for CO2 injection, peat filtered Cleveland tap, 7.2, driftwood, etc, etc). I got 35 plus yrs of fish keeping but ZERO experience with killies (outside of flagfish, and FP.Gardineri) <excuse the spelling>, (I trolled the net for HOURS, but I'm getting conflicting info: I'm favoring Fp. Sjoestedi, but I'm at a loss as how to get some or the appropriate sex ratio & numbers (or if this is a good fish for this tank). Any suggestions appreciated. Regards, Ken
