RE: [Killietalk] L. tanganicanus need of males and females



I use hornwort in my hard water system.  Salt and high pH do not harm it.
The water is ~8.3pH, 15kH, 15gH and 1000+ tds.

I also use anubias nana and several different vals.  The dried aponogeton
bulbs work well also.

I've found that the Lamprichthys really like the pH way up there.  They seem
to do best when the pH is 8.5 plus.

baking soda for pH up to 8.3
washing soda for pH above that.
epsons salts for magnesium
drizair for calcium
sodium free water softener regenerator for potassium.
