[Killietalk] Siphons

Hi all,

I have received several suggestions to my request for help in building a siphon for a water change system, some were quite ingenious.. As I stated in my first e-mail I don`t want to drill the tanks for a bulkhead fitting as my tanks are old, 1970 Metaframe stainless frames and slate bottoms with the old black sealant. I was in a hurry the other day and I picked up an empty one carelessly and cracked the front glass. Old glass can be very  brittle, I worked for 15 years cutting glass and plastic and with the glass it`s a crapshoot. Since I only maintain 40 31/2 gal. tanks I think I will try to make spihons like the ones that Lee sent a picture of or get ice maker tubing and bend them up that way. My set up will not require a lot of water to do the changes I deem necessary to keep my fish healthy. Again many many thanks to all who responded.       Regards,  Duane
