Re: [Killietalk] Flow thru systems

I am a little behind on this discussion since AOL has
rejected my killietalk mail again. This is entered
from my clunky Yahoo mail address, so spelling is not
checked, messages are not referenced and all that
medieval stuff. Any way, a couple of comments. First,
I have found that at the drip emitter rates, I only
need a few hours a day to get dramatic improvement in
water quality and fish response. Second, excess water
replacement is undesirable because it wastes water,
removes beneficial microbiological and chemical agents
(hormones, plankton, etc,). Third, I may have
misunderstood the thread, but why would you want to
include a DeBruyn type filter in a once through
replacement system?
