Are Killifish community fish?
A few are, but most are not, really.
The Lamepeyes, as a group, are schooling fish, and do well with other
fish that are not too similar. Most annuals and many Fp. and Aphyos are
quite belligerent and will take on opponents easily capable of eating
them with one gulp. Same goes for pupfish, who consistently lose in
confrontations with bass.
Many are active jumpers and will become crispy critters on the carpet
when they seek more privacy.
Bottom line? You can force it, but is it worth the bother, when they are
so nice in specific tanks?
