Wright, You can get some that will fit the Tetra in your LFS as air
line holders or a bit larger the heater holders. These are a little
pricey but they are available.
Unfortunately, not in Bishop. We have a couple of generalist "Pet Shops"
here, but fish are really their weakest link. Their main products seem
to be puppies, birds, rodents and foul odors.
They don't even carry the most rudimentary water test kits. I can get
those at the local spa dealer, but the prices are simply outrageous.
Aquatic plants are out of the question, here, and no one has reef salt
as there are no salt-tank suppliers closer than Reno.
The brand name on the ones here is
"Lee's". I've also found them in some of the junk stores such as
"Everything's a Dollar" ( don't laugh I do my Xmas shopping there)
amongst the housewares. Don't know what the intended application is,
but they work.
I found some at "Big K" but they have metal hooks and look difficult to
adapt to the post-type mounting of the Tetras.
My memory is that the Lee's are clear and last way longer than the
original green ones. Those turn rough, crispy and useless after a few
months, if not securely attached to the tank wall. I just need to get
everything by mail, so would appreciate any leads to an on-line source.
