The only ones I have had a problem with are the "automatic" siphons that I 
chose for a few tanks. They do occasionally get clogged or lose their siphon. 
The bulkheads easily keep up with the drip rates that I use. Even when they get 
overgrown with Java moss, they are adequate, so far. You need to realize that 
the rates are about 2-3 drops per second.
