[Killietalk] January 2004 ARK Meeting Announcement

The Arizona Rivulin Keepers will be gathering on Saturday, January 10, at
the Round Table Pizza in south Tempe. We will start around 6:30 pm. Check
out the ARK website for directions and a map. The meeting is free and we
welcome visitors.

If you are visiting from out-of-state, this is our cool time of year. While
we generally wear T-shirts and shorts, at this time of year, you can only
wear shorts comfortably in the late mornings through the afternoon. Long
pants and maybe a jacket are recommended in the mornings and evenings.
Highs are mid-60s to mid-70s and low temperatures drop into the lower 40s
(occasionally upper 30s).

The January program is a video from the 2001 West Coast Weekend. Have you
ever thought about going on a fish collecting trip? Dr. Ron Harlan has made
numerous trips to Central and South America and in this presentation he
reviews the different types of trips you might select and some of the things
you need to consider. Even if you never go collecting, this video will give
you an appreciation of what is involved.

The ARK meeting will feature our monthly Trade Table. Attendees are
encouraged to bring in their killies, other unusual small aquarium fish,
aquatic plants, live food cultures, etc. We always seem to have a great
selection and the Trade Table is open to all.
