According to Killifish master Index IV both those populations -- Lafia and 
Biassa are populations of Fundulopanchax gardneri nigerianus. George, this book 
is literally the "fish Bible" for the AKA so I would encourage you to follow 
Lazara's classification. As you know there is confusion and disagreement about 
many killifish species both names and populations. This fine book helps us 
stay sort of "on course" and is considered the authoritative and most up to date 
information on killifish taxonomy.. Ken keeps updating it at interavals and it 
is a masterful job. Enjoy your "gardneris" as they are some of the best 
killies available.
