I'll have to try the Omega food.  I'll keep my eye out for it.  I have
just been using oatmeal, and (to my limited observations) they have gone
nuts since put on the peat.

Hi Mark,

    My guess is the first culture was getting old as new cultures always

produce fast and more. I use 85% peat and 15% pure potting soil in mine.
I also 
find that grindals produce faster on Omega One flake food than they do
on 
oatmeal or cornmeal. They seem to love the salmon in the Omega flakes.
